Trust & Faith in God
In this powerful and Spirit-led post, Tiana Moore and Ebony Brinson unpack the difference between trusting God and walking by faith. “Trust & Faith” is an inspiring reminder that God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness. When we trust Him completely and walk by faith, not by sight, He transforms our struggles into testimony. Whether you’re in a storm or on the mountain, this post will encourage you to stay anchored in Christ, deepen your faith, and boldly walk in your divine assignment.

Tiana:
To trust in God is to release control and surrender fully to His divine plan. Scripture reminds us:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6, NKJV)
Faith is not based on what we see; it is founded on who He is.
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7, NKJV)
Faith can move mountains—if we lean into God. When we bloom where we are planted, we allow the Gardener of our souls to cultivate strength, resilience, and beauty even in barren places. As God guides us, our faith matures. The deeper our dependence, the stronger our trust. In our weakness, His strength is perfected.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9, NKJV) In the wilderness, He becomes our anchor. In uncertainty, He becomes our compass. Obedience in the face of impossibility is where miracles are born. We carry resurrection power within us, but we must walk it out. “I’m about to become a door for people to see Jesus through me.” God is raising up those the world counted out—the paralyzed, the broken, the overlooked—to display His glory. Your issues may be real, but they do not disqualify you from His presence. In fact, He is the God who meets you right in the middle of them.
Ebony:
Faith without works is lifeless.
“Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” (James 2:17, NKJV)
A life without faith is like a ship tossed in a storm.
“For he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind… a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.” (James 1:6-8, NKJV) We must anchor our trust in the One who is gracious, generous, compassionate, and overflowing with love. Why place your trust in man, who fails, when God never will? In today’s world, trust is hard to come by, surrounded by betrayal, deceit, and malice. But when we place our faith and trust in God, we are shielded under the shadow of His protection.
“Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.” (Ephesians 6:16, NKJV) We trust that Jesus holds us securely in the palm of His right hand.
“For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’” (Isaiah 41:13, NKJV) He will never allow harm to overtake you. He is our Defender, our Protector, and our Righteous Avenger. “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. (Romans 12:19, NKJV) Put your faith in God, not man.
“It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.” (Psalm 118:8, NKJV) Together, trust and faith unlock the supernatural. They move heaven and earth, heal wounds, and restore destinies. When you walk in trust and operate in faith, you walk in power.
Shalom.
